I AM

I am death and desolation
I am the take of many lives.
I separate babies from their mothers,
And husbands from their wives.
Some say I am a scourge from God,
Some sort of divine retribution.
But know that I feed on ignorance,
Greed and prostitution.
I cross the lines of race ethics,
That encompass all human kind.
Republican or democrat, black or white,
My appetite is blind.
I care not for points of view,
Double talk or hatter.
My only goal is to conquer you,
And then kill you dead.
Please don’t try to learn of me.
Please keep it from your head.
Prevention and knowledge stifle me.
Abstinence makes you safe.
Condoms are the easiest way,
To keep you from this fate,
For I am still a killer,
No matter what is said.
Allow me to introduce myself for
I am known as AIDS….
