Walk In Her Shoes

Advocating for Women Living With HIV

July 16, 2024

Our team had the pleasure of attending "Walk In Her Shoes" at the Morehouse School of Medicine. This special evening focused on the critical HIV-related challenges facing Black women complete with panel discussions and a chance to engage with community leaders and experts.

The event was both informative and engaging, and we left feeling inspired and empowered to continue advocating for equality and inclusion in HIV for our sisters!

AIDS Walk Atlanta

Music Festival & 5K Run

Due to the state of emergency for all of Georgia, declared by Governor Brian Kemp, the annual AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival & 5k Run scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Piedmont Park has been postponed.

Considering the security of our clients, staff, and partners, even if the sun shines this weekend, the conditions at the park will not be suitable for us to host the event safely.
As we work to identify a new date, all are encouraged to continue to raise funds towards the $1 million dollar goal to support the 14 locally based non-profit organizations working tirelessly to address metro Atlanta’s growing HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Message From Our CEO

Zina M. Age, LMSW, MAC

In 1996, I founded Aniz, Inc. out of necessity, sparked by the lack of HIV treatment for my godson. Witnessing the impact of systemic racism and prejudice, we began our mission by providing HIV education to underserved communities, focusing on adolescents. Through our journey, we've pioneered a non-judgmental approach to trauma, addressing multiple layers of harm and fostering holistic recovery. Today, Aniz continues to evolve, tackling issues from hunger to systemic injustice, guiding individuals towards a brighter, more hopeful future.
